My Video Experience
June 24, 2008
WOW! I’ve been playing around with posting videos. Of course I first tried the “OLD” stand by YouTube; it works but I just wasn’t getting the results I wanted. They say to upload the best quality you have and they, YouTube, will take care of the rest. Depending on the users bandwidth, connection speed to the internet, they would be able to view the videos in a higher “Quality”. I guest that means crappy vs less crappy. OK, all right I’m spoiled… I was an early adopter of Plasma Technology and HD. So I’m not going to watch some crappy looking video on my Mac nor on my Plasma no matter what the subject. Maybe I’m just to impatient to take the time to figure out all the nuances, quite frankly I just don’t want to take the time, I have too much other stuff to do. Can’t it be as simple as editing your content in iMovie, I use an HD Cam, then export it out using QuickTime and then bada bing, bada boom, you’re good to go too upload the video. YES it can be that simple. I just tried out Vimeo.com and it works great! Take a look at my about page to see the difference. Just above the first video is a paragraph explaining what the difference is between the three source videos I uploaded to YouTube. The 4th and last video is the Vimeo video… You don’ have to watch them all the way through just enough to see the quality difference.
