About
I started out as a programmer back in the days of COBOL and punch cards quickly moving on to other more “modern languages”. I found that I was gravitating more towards the technical end of things like hardware/software and networks so I left the programming side for the techie side. The young ones of today have no clue what it was like back then from the late 70′s to the mid to late 90′s when you actually had to know your “SHIT” fixing and making things work. Now it’s all spoon feed to them and if it doesn’t work toss it out and get a new one. That’s not bad in and of its self, that’s just the way it is now. I digress… So my business life has been in the PC / Network / Software side of things as well as installation / training / support. I had my own business with a partner and employes for a while; it was designed as a short term gig and last about 3 years. I loved the work but hated all the aspects of running a company, employes are just a pain in the ass. Again I digress… Fast forward a bit to present I currently work for a great company and have been for sometime now. What do I do? More or less all of the above and I defy anyone there to come up with what would be a job title to fit it. Yes I do have a job title but and no it’s not CONSULTANT… It was, for a while there, everyones title, the rational frankly just escaped me and still does. Consultant; that was just another way of saying unemployed to me. Again I digress…
I’ll be adding more to this at a later date.
Relax & Enjoy,
Robert
